What Does Deep Vein Thromb Suggest?

Recently I had to get some of my hospital records and I found something in there, that is really bothering me:In 2001 they ran a test and said I have DVT (DEEP VEIN THROMB.) PROXIMAL OCCLUSION...I never was aware of this.....It has been 10 years plus.....I'm still here...Is this a ticking time bomb?
