General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
As age advances there are some changes occurring in spines like reduction of spaces between discs, some osteophytes formation, prolapse intervertebral discs, loosing normal curvature of vertebral column etc.
These are all called degenerative changes.
There might be having osteoporosis or osteomalacia as well.
Treatment depends upon severity of degenerative changes and pinched nerve pressure.
physiotherapy, short way diathermy and traction will be much helpful.
Ok and take care.
