What Does Degenerative Disease Of The Cervical Spine Suggest?

I had an auto accident last year and was treated and used a neck strap for about 3 months. But I started having pains around my neck. I just collected the result of my MRI CERVICAL SPINE and the conclusions are: 1. Degenerative disease of the cervical spine 2. Paraspinal muscular spasm. Am I in danger of being paralysed?
