General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.

I can understand your concern.

Delayed period is a common side effect of using I pill. The period may be delayed by 2 days to 2 weeks in some cases.

If your period does not start even after 3-4 weeks, a simple and economical urine pregnancy test on early morning urine sample will reassure you.

Consult a gynecologist to rule out other causes like hormonal imbalance, anxiety, stress etc. and the treatment to get back your period which may involve the use of tablet norethisterone 5 mg thrice a day for 3 days and after leaving it you will get periods in 3-5 days.

Hope to have answered your query.

A feed back is appreciated.
