For a pediatric patient 5 years old - what does vision dropped to -15 mean? I am a retired RN and a young lady is concerned about her son's vision. His vision is deteriorating in his left eye. He had cataract surgery at 18 months. He covers his right eye 4-6 hrs. a day but the left eye is rotating inward more and he actually doesn't appear to be seeing with it. He lives in another state so I have no access to his opthalmologist. Thank you for your time and attention to this situation. Nancy Williams
It appears the child had congenital cataract which was operated. Covering of right eye means had developed amblyopia in left eye. For treatment it is required tobe examined by eye doctor.and treatment can be decided.
