General & Family Physician, Dr. Varinder's Response
Hello,
Usually, there is a difference between blood pressure in two arms and in the same arm at different time intervals.
The largest value is taken as reading. Diastolic 100 is not good. Usually, night duty staying awake increases blood pressure. If the diastolic is persistent above 90 mm then you need treatment. Avoid tea or coffee.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Varinder Joshi, General & Family Physician
