What Does Diffuse Disc Protrusion At L3-L4 Level Suggest?

hello i had an anterior interbogy grafts and plates and rods at l4 and l5-s1 12 months ago and was going better and few weeks ago i got in car accident rear ended and now i have increased pain in low back and mri said minimal diffuse disc protrusion and facet changes at the l3-4 . does this mean surgury again?
