What Does Diffuse Echogenicity Right Extrarenal Pelvis With Possible Hydronephrosis Indicate?

my daughter had an ultrasound today of her right upper quadrant due to mid sternum and upper gastric pain the ultrasound showed diffuse echogenicity of the liver which stated to be normal size and showed possible right extrarenal pelvis with possible hydronephrosis. what could that mean
her gall bladder was normal

Diffuse increased echogenicity refers to fatty changes in liver. It may occur due to various reasons like familial (obesity), alcohol intake, fatty foods consumption. It is usually a benign condition and a lipid profile test may be done. It needs to be managed as per the cause.

Extrarenal pelvis refers to the presence of the renal pelvis outside the confines of the renal hilum. It is a normal variant that is found in about 10% of the population.
