What Does Disc Protrusion At L4-L5 Level Of Spine Mean?
Hi,
Findings: There is preservation of vertebral body height and alignment. Degenerative changes noted with loss of T2 signal and disc height of the lower two lumbar interspaces and L2-L3.
There is a focal disc protrusion of L2-L3 to the right of midline causing slight effacement of displacement of the descending right sided L3 nerve root. In addition there is a central disc protrusion of L4-L5 causing very slight effacement of both descending L5 nerve roots but without desplacement. Otherwise the overall canal dimensions are adequate throughout the lateral recesses preserved on both sides.
Concluson. Degenerative desc disease with right sided L2-L3 disc protrusion causing slight effacement of descending L3 nerve root and central L4-L5 disc protrusion causing slight effacement of both descending L5 nerve roots.
What does this really mean? Am I going to get worse?
