What Does Dizziness Along With Fatigue And Headache Indicate?

I have had vertigo/dizziness for the last few days; accompanied by fatigue and headaches. I have 3 stents; s/p 2 heart attacks within the last 2 years; I am 60 years old. I do wear a hearing aid. I have tried dramamine and a rx of methylprednisolone with no improvement. I am scheduled for an MRI in 10 days. Wondering what could be the cause? Thank you. Leonard email: YYYY@YYYY

hi sir,the causes of vertigo are many.in my clinic,i would first evaluate if it is a central nervous system(CNS) related cause ie; involving cortex, brain stem, cerebellum or a peripheral cause related to ear i.e; vestibular apparatus(symptoms include postional vertigo, tinnitus, aural fullness, hearing loss etc.).in a case scenario of yours,i would suspect a CNS, cause could be a vertebrobasilar disease due to an embolus or atherosclerosis.the risk is more if you are a hypertensive or diabetic.owing to age,a tumour in the cerebellopontine region of brain is also a possibility.anyhow, the MRI would help us to arrive at a definitive diagnosis.hope i have given you a satisfactory answer.if any other issues,i'm always ready to attend.thank you.take care.bye.
