OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,

From the description of your symptoms and your age, it appears that you are likely to have a hyper-estrogenic state, perhaps as a result of peri-menopause. This is the cause of the delayed period and the increased endometrial thickness. A couple of courses of progesterone usually helps in most cases, but it is essential to establish that there is hormone imbalance through endometrial biopsy. Please see a specialist for further evaluation and management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shanti Vennam, OBGYN
