What Does Elevated Protein And Globulin Levels In Liver Profile Suggest?

I have carried a test for liver profile and the report is in my hands. I need to know the test results. Here are the results as follows

Everything else is normal except these

1. Total Protein. 9.2 gm% (6.4-8.2 gm% normal range)

2. Globulin 4.6 Gm% (2.3-3.5 Gm% normal range)

3. A/G Ratio 1.0:1 (1.2-2.5:1 normal range)



My Age is 21 Years old male

suffering from active acne and taking Isotretinoin capsules 20mg as per dermatologist prescriptions.

Hello,Thanks for using Healthcaremagic. kindly note that your age and previos medical problems are not mentioned in the query.

According the report posted, there is raised globulins above normal range
the elevated globulins may be Alpha,or gamma
commonly will be gamma,amd is of two types monoclonal proliferation or polyclonal.
you need to undergo serum protein electrophoresis that will show next step in evaluation.
if you have any joint pains kindly inform doctor..
No specific medication is required right now but blood test SPEP is required.
and it is unlikey due to isotrenitoin..
