What Does Elevated Temperature After Contact With Strep Patient Indicate?

My daughter is 6 years old and currently has a temp of 99.3. Is this considered a fever? On Saturday she was around her cousin who just got over having strep and had been on antibiotics for 3 days prior. Could my daughter be coming down it it as well?

hi, i do care for your concern.
from your history said above, your child may suffer from strep infection. as this bacteria spread mainly through aerosol.
the temperature said by you above is considered to be hyper-pyrexia.
I would advise to
Start on antibiotic such as azithro along with antacid for the full course.
have lukewarm water for drinking, and avoid cold food.
hope the child gets well soon.
