What Does Elevated White Blood Cell Count Indicate?

i have been told that my white blood cell count is elevated and referred to a specialist should i be alarmed that i amy have some type of cancer or luekemia? Another symtom that i have is discharge from my nipples that is greenish in color? im scheduled for emergency mammogram and ultrasound? Nobody will tell me anything , no possible diagnosis or cause and im stressed out. any advice or suggestions appreciated.

Hi, i do care for your concern.
You have not mentioned the value of WBC's.
white blood cells usually increase, following an acute infection.
In your condition as you have discharge, which can be due to infection that may caused increase in WBC's.
In luekemia the values will be very high usually in lakhs.
