What Does Elongated Sac Mean?

hi i should be 5 weeks 5 days pregnant and went for a scan at 4 weeks 6 days and there was 2 sacs one which was elongated and other one normal with the bright ring around it both had nothing in them so had hcg done on the 13th it was 2000 15th it was 2400 then the 17th was 4000 i dont understand what the elongated sac is??? help me

That elongated sac is basically the sac of twin gestation which is on the verge of perishing because of inability to survive also calked as vanishing twin.
It is seen in around 60% of twin pregnancies.
