I am a 47 yr old female. I have been experiencing borderline high blood pressure for about a year. My bottom number ranged from mid 80 s to high 90 s. One time would be high, and then the next okay. In the last month I have had excessive sweating for no reason. Had an trip to urgent care where my bp was 164/108. Now I am checking my bp daily, 3 x s a day, and it is still high. This morning it was 174/116. I have a appointment schedule for Friday with my doctor but I am freaking out that my heart is a time bomb. I take RA injections (Orencia), methotrexate, and plaquenil and cymbalta. My only other symptoms are the sweating and slightly blurred vision and an occasional headache. I do get short of breath when doing activities, but I do not have any pressure or pain. (as far as I can tell. I have chronic pain from RA so it is hard to decipher when other conditions are present). Is high blood pressure something to go the ER for? Or can I just wait for my scheduled appointment?
