What Does Faint Positive Result In Pregnancy Test Indicate?

MY last Menstrual was 3-30-2011 about 28 days apart, Missed period on April 28th , tested April 29th faint pregnancy positive. Feel tired, nausea in afternoons and belly a little poofy, this would be 2nd pregnancy, White dischard from breast the first week and swollen, May 3rd Pregancy test a Doctors office he states test is positive but faint? He gave me a prescription for progesterone pills. Is there a concern for the faint pregnancy test

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion faint pregnancy test can be due to early testing of pregnancy or in case of ectopic or abnormal pregnancy due to progesterone insufficiency.As you are already prescribed progesterones continue them.I suggest you to repeat the test after a week.And even blood HCG also might help in knowing the pregnancy status but it is much variable in different people.Finally ultrasound helps in diagnosis but it needs 5-6 weeks of pregnancy to be evident.Avoid physical stress and intercourse.Take rest.
