What Does Flank Pain On The Left Side Indicate?

Have a pain in my lower left flank by my kidney. Already have gone to the hospital and stayed a week. Ran a million test. Even told me my lyph-nodes were swollen, so they ran more test from a CT scan, chest scan, hiv,etc. Did a biopsy, and the results were negative. But I still have this lingering pain from time to time....

Causes of flank pain
Some of the more common causes of flank pain include:

a kidney infection
a kidney abscess
kidney stones
dehydration
a bladder infection
shingles
Tietze’s syndrome
arthritis, especially spinal arthritis
a spinal fracture
disc disease
a pinched nerve in the back
a muscle spasm
Less common causes of flank pain include:

kidney disease
pneumonia
pancreatitis
appendicitis
a blockage in the urinary tract
an inflammatory bowel disease, such as Crohn’s disease
a renal infarct, which occurs when a blood clot blocks the blood supply to the kidney
herpes zoster
an abdominal aortic aneurysm
