What Does Fluid Discharge From The Right Ear Indicate?

I submitted a question earlier, waiting for the doctor’s reply. The question was: I’ve had fluid oozing from my right ear for about a week. There is no accompanying constant ongoing pain, just occasional twinges that last a few seconds. Five pills of Levoquin left over from a previous Rx didn’t help. Could it be a viral infection? If it is how do I treat it? I’ve paid so why can’t I submit my Q without being asked to pay again?

Hello welcome to the health care magic

This is free public forum question and for problem facing in paid query you can contact customer care service

As you are having fluid coming from right ear Otoscopy ear examination needs to be done as primary work up

It could be serous otitis media like condition

But without Otoscopy examination treatment cannot be guided

Yes it can be viral infection as well

For temporary treatment until examination you can take levocetrizine like decongestant

Take care

Hope this helps you

Consult otorhinolaryngologist for examination
