What Does Fluid In The Ears Indicate?

So i have had a feeling of liquid in my right ear for 2 1/2 years now, been to specialist etc, they don t see anything and now I have an ear infection in my left ear , been prescribed antibiotics , have been putting in both ears, I also have BMS (Burning Mouth Syndromn) for about 8 months now, (no answeres for that either) prior to the right ear , I have had teeth issues in the past and had a root canal on my left side, but just wondering if this could be the issue, even though the dentist doesn t see issues

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If there is any pain radiating from the tooth then it will give you a sensation of pain in ear and less likely to have a feeling of fluid in ear. So feeling of fluid in ear is not due to tooth related issue. You can try using nasal decongestant drops like Otrivin to relieve the clogged sensation. Secondly, burning tongue/mouth syndrome is a condition in which there is burning sensation inside mouth and can also be associated with a scalded feeling and can also experience numbing sensation. It can occur due to a number of causes like nutritional deficiency of iron and vitamin B12, dry mouth or xerostomia, stress, acid reflux, side effects of medicines, etc. I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical examination and investigations like blood tests can be advised. Treatment of underlying cause will resolve the symptoms. As of now to get relieved you can start gargling with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine. Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen. Avoid spicy foods and take a soft bland diet. Suck ice pops.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Honey Arora
