What Does Fluttering Sensation In The Stomach Indicate?

Hello. I have very intense butterfly sensations in my stomach right when I am about to drift off into sleep. It snaps me awake and is so intense that it prevents me from sleeping. It comes and goes infrequently and drives me nuts. My doctors say it s gerd, but I m on acid reducers and it still happens. I ve also had a heart attack and am on several heart medications, doctors say it isn t my heart. What else can it be?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Fluttering sensation in the stomach usually due to infection or pregnancy or hypokalemia or anxiety or caffeine or alcohol intake etc.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
Please consult your treating doctor he will examine for above causes and treat you accordingly.
