What Does Food Stuck In Throat After Tonsil Removal Suggest?

I had my tonsils removed 10 months ago, and after about 3 weeks recovery everything was going well. But around 3 months ago I started getting food stuck in the back of my throat which is very difficult to remove. Now after almost every meal it feels as though there is food stuck right at the back of mouth, is this normal? Is there anything I can do to stop it.
