What Does Frequent Urination Indicate?

I am 73 yrs old and for some time I have experienced a growing need to pee, PARTICULARLY after sitting down for a while.( not necessarily for prolonged periods.) the stream is ok and there seems to be nothing abnormal in the urine. Eg blood or discolouration. My previous psa test was normal approx 1 yr ago. What say you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to an urinary tract infection. They can also be related to enlarged prostate. I suggest you to do an ultrasound and a urinalysis to confirm the diagnosis and take proper treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
