General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is normal for periods to re-appear after a period of missing. That's normal during menopause. Plus, it is also normal that you might experience heavy periods lasting 2 weeks or up to 20 days. Then, they might fully stopped, or you might experience another period. But no one can tell for sure when. So, do not get scared. Just get yourself helped by:
- Keeping well hydrated
- Having your meals regularly
- Taking iron supplement
- Taking Primrose oil and/or Flavanon-4 supplement to ease hot flushes

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
