Hello Doctor, i just want to ask the impression of my x ray results:
Pulmonary Hyperaeration.
Atheromatous Aorta
Thoractic Osteophytosis
Please explain to me the meaning of my xray result, im afraid i might have a health prob. im a elem. teacher female 51 yrs. old a filipino. Thanks and God bless.

Thanks for writing to HCM

Findings suggests hyperaerated lung fields.It is due to trapping of air in conditions like COPD,chronic asthma etc.You need clinical correlation and if there is any associated physical problem it should be treated.

Atheromatous aorta is age related finding and it is important to see for conditions like hypertension,diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia.It is because these conditions accelerate atherosclerosis.

Thoractic osteophytosis is presence of osteophytes in thoracic vertebra.It is also age related changes.
