Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I normally have a resting heart rate from 98-110ish. Started taking phetermine 37.5 mg prescribed by my PCp. I have been on it for 3 days and checked my heart rate yest and it was 130. Is this ok? I was walking around and up for a few hrs when I took it but it kind of scared me.
Heart rate more than 100 beat per minute is matter of concern and it has to be looked for cardiac disease, EKG and ECHO is must, let me inform you that pulse reading need to be done by physician, else over consciousness always shows higher rate of pulse rate, so it is nothing to worry unless stated by physician Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
