Intrahepatic bilary radicles are not dilated.Liver span is 156 mm.Hepatomegaly with fatty changes & fatty infliltration."-reads my ultrasound report. What does this mean?How grave is the situation?What diet sholud I be on?
Your findings suggests mildly enlarged liver(hepatomegaly).It is due to deposition of fat within the liver cells.This is indicated by fatty liver appearance in ultrasound. Fatty liver is a reversible condition.Underlying cause need treatment.
You need few more investigations like routine hemogram,random blood sugar,lipid profile,liver function test.
You should also avoid red meat and high fat milk products. You should avoid fried and junk food and increase your physical activity. You may need to take some medicines after investigations. Take lot of fibres in your diet.
