What Does High Neutrocytes, Low Lymphocytes And High Glucose Level Mean?
My husband has a high neutrocytes 77.4 and a low lymphocytes 15.6, he also has something call raw high of 15.5. He is a diabetic. His glucose at the time of thes labs was136 , he has ferrocytosis with a total bilirubin of 3.7 at the time of these test done on 1/06 /14. Are there any reason for further test or concern?
High neutrophylls and low lymphocytes indicates acute infection which might be due to diabetes.
Secondly Diabetes itself might cause impaired phagocytic response which causes increase in the neutrocytes count. It increases the risk of infections even though it is raised.
So the main problems is with increased blood sugars..
So if you control your blood sugars properly then I think No need to worry.
If you still experience the same status then get one bone marrow aspiration cytology done.
Thanks
