What Does Hole On Perineum With Slow Bleeding Suggest?

I recently had sweeping on my perineum that was extremely tender and painful. A couple days later I noticed bleeding and checked and there seemed to be a small tear. I thought it would eventually stop but it didn t. It s been slowly bleeding and the swelling is almost fully gone. But I noticed there s a whole there now. About 2/3 inch wide.

Hello and welcome.

If the wound has healed completely then there is no need for any management. The hole may remain or close with time, but it is important to be sure of whether the wound has healed or not.

Because if the wound is open then there could be a chance for infection. I hope this helps.
