What Does Hyper Plastic Endometrium Mean?

I am 30 years old and just had ultrasound due to heavy bleeding - I had a baby 5 months ago - results were endometriumis thickened at 18mm, conclusion - thickened endometrium possibly hyperplastic - what does this mean? being hyperplastic is this linked to cancer..dr is sending me for courette?
