Hi doc,the impression i got from my kub are, renal vascular calcifications vs. tiny nephrolithiases, right focal caliectasia, right pelvocalyceal fullness, left cortical thickness right - 1.2 cm cortical thickness left - 1.4 cm. what does this means,do i have to go through an operation?thanks..lani
There is mention of suspected calcifications seen in the right kidney which are tiny and can be due to the arterial calcification or small stones. Though there is mention of one of the calyces being prominent, there is no obstruction to passage of urine. Left kidney fullness is mentioned but there is no obstruction documented.
You do not have to get any operation done. The stones, if present are very small and can be treated by taking adequate amount of fluids.
