What Does Increased Burping At Night Indicate?

I have burping particularly at night, it begins each time I turn over in bed. Each time I roll over (I toss and turn a lot) the burping begins then stops till the next turn. This does not seem to be R/T food, it happens if I am fasting. Sometimes the burping occurs in the daytime. I cannot relate it to stress or what I eat. Today I am very nauseated. I wonder about gall stones but no pain on Rt side. Dont think its Hiatal Hernia.

General Surgeon 's  Response
hi.

noted history of burping. is it associated with any other sign or symptom? does it usually occur after a fatty meal and relieved by burping/belching/flatulence? gallbladder/biliary tree pathology and or acid related diseases must be ruled-out. it is best if you consult with a doctor, preferably with a gastroenterologist or a general surgeon, for physical examination and clinical evaluation. diagnostics (such as ultrasound and liver function tests) and management (medical and/or surgical if indications are found) will be directed accordingly.

hope this helps.

good day!!
