What Does Increased Calcification In Breast Indicate?

I recently had a mammogram, additional images and an ultrasound of my right breast. The radiologist has recommended a biopsy for increased calcification in right breast (at 9:00). I ve done some research and understand the calcification is considered suspicious. Does this mean I have breast cancer?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Calcification of the breast tissue could be due to various reasons and need not be due to breast cancer. Even at times fibroadenosis (benign condition of breast) can undergo calcification.
Kindly get the biopsy done as advised. Based on the histopathology report it can be stated weather it is due to cancer or not.
Till then relax and wait until the you get the report.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
