What Does Irritated Keratosis With Mild Squamous Atypia Mean?

Hello my physician recently advised after a consult I have irritated keratosis with mild squamous atypia what does this mean and she advised cryotherapy. I have been addressing this issue to physicians since 6-7 years ago and finally a new physician was able to tell me what this was. I am a little worried she told me within the next 20 years it could turn into skin cancer. Is this true

Hello .
Welcome to HCM
Seborrheic keratosis or irritated keratosis ,,actually cause of this is unknown n generally it does not need any treatment .but sometimes it can progress in to skin cancer.
There are few options for removing the lesions ,,one of them is cryosurgery.
other options are electrocautery, shaving ,curettage,TCA peel
so dont worry n go for the treatment if you need it for cosmetic purpose.
If any further doubt ,please write to us.
Thank you
