What Does It Mean By First Degree A V Block And Left Atrial Abnormality In An ECG Report?
I have recently had an ECG done and it said first degree A V block and Left atrial abnormality, I was just wondering what this could mean until I go back to the doctor next week Im a 20 y/o female I have been smoking for about 6months There is history of heart disease in my family I have been having on and off chest pains for about a month or two
Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you should not worry at present. Definitely stop smoking at earliest. First degree AV block is due to conduction anomaly and does not cause much trouble. Since you are having positive family history of heart disease you should consult cardiologist and get done 2D Echo. But my priority is still quiting smoking habit.
