What Does It Mean If A Long-standing Inguinal Hernia Becomes Tender With Constipation And Green Pus Discharge?

I have a large inguinal hernia that is 20 years old that has recently been very tender. It is always prominent, but goes in with a little effort. I haven't had a bowel movement in 5 days, and when i wipe there's this nasty thick green puss. What could this be?
