HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The heart relaxes to receive blood from the lungs and the body and contracts to send blood out.
Diastole refers to the relaxation of the heart. It is part of the normal contraction relaxation cycle of the heart.

You may be referring to diastolic heart failure where there is a problem with relaxation of the heart. In this condition, the heart is unable to work as it should.

Treatment would involve: (1)treating any underlying conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes
(2)smoking cessation
(3)using prescribed medications
(4)appropriate physical activity

I hope this helps
