What Does It Mean When Bacteria Count Has Changed From Many To Occasional?

I undergo my second urinalysis today. My first urinalysis said my basteria is many. While the recent second one, It said my bacteria is occasional what does it mean? Other info: White blood cells: 8-12 Red blood cells: 1-2 Squamous Epithelial Cells: few

Hi. Thanks for asking on healthcaremagic. Bacteria in urine microscopic examination can be due to the contamination from the vulva and external genitalia. Hence it is advised to clean the genitalia before urine sample collection and best sample is to collect a midstream sample where the patient lets a little urine flow and after that collects the middle part. However in your case the pus cells and RBCs are also a little high. You have a mild Urinary tract infection which might get relieved with enough intake of water orally. Hope it helped. Thanks.
