What Does Itching In The Vagina Indicate?

Hi Doc I was using a two months injection but now I ve changed I m using trigestrel because the injection was affecting me it 5months now not going to periods but i was experiencing painful period pains and black red cloths no blood now since I ve started using trigestrel I m experiencing some itchiness on my virgina and when I go to toilet my urine has some whitish things sort of like discharge but thick

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Trigestrel tablet contains Ethinyl Estradiol and Levonorgestrel as active ingredients. Side effects which are possible by taking the medication include: Nausea, Lower stomach pain, Breakthrough bleeding, Breast tenderness, Diarrhea, Gall stones, Acne and Amenorrhea. Itching sensation in vagina is not a common side effect described with its use.

However, kindly do the following to overcome it.

1. Cleanse the region with mild antiseptic solution like Savlon twice daily. 2. Apply Monistat cream twice daily.
3. Apply moisturiser cream at bedtime.
4. Take antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine once a day.
5. Maintain good genital hygiene.
6. Abstain from sexual activities till the symptoms subside completely.
