Had my pap smear test done last week and the result:

superficial, intermediate and endocervical cells seen>

Large numbers of polymorphs

No monilia or trichomonas seen

No evidence of malignancy and dysplasia.

My question is what is "large numbers of ploymorphs? Is it a disease?

Thanks for your question on HCM. Polymorph s are one of the white blood cells (WBCs). WBCs are defensive system of our body. So in infection by otganism, WBC s will increase in number at the site of infection and kill the organism. So plenty of polymorph s suggest infection. So you may have infection of uterine cavity. So consult gynecologist and start antibiotics.
