What does this assessment mean FINDINGS: The lower neck and the axilla are negative. Evidence of mediastinal mass or lymphadenopathy. There is no evidence of pulmonary embolism. There are several linear opacities are seen at the lung bases. These are consistent with atelectasis or pleural scar. Similar linear opacities are seen on the previous CT of 10/17/2014 The superior abdominal structures are negative. SUMMARY: 1. No evidence of pulmonary embolism. 2. There are some linear opacities lung bases are consistent with pleural based scar. this scan reports are suggestive that ther is no new pathology in lungs and all the things mentioned in report was previously there so by view of this report i can say that reports are well within normal criteria,
the old lung damage has caused basal scar which is appearing as linear opacities.
hope ur queries answered.
