What Does Lipid Profile Test Suggest?

hi ,my mom's lipid profile result is s.cholesterol :215mg/dl,s.tryglycerides:202mg/dl ,HDL cholesterol :38mg/dl , LDL cholesterol:136.6mg/dl , VLDL cholesterol:40.4mg/dl , S.cholesterol/HDLC ratio :5.66,,,so do i need to concert the doctor ,plz help me out

Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query.From your lipid profile analysis you have dyslipidemia. Your triglyceride is in high risk level.HDL,LDL in borderline.The cholesterol ratio desirable is 4, and you have 5.66.It is better to check a thyroid profile also because you can get dyslipidemia in hypothyroidism also.In dyslipidemia like this i advise fenofibrate and atorvastatin in low dose.Hope this may help you.
