What Does Liver Cirrhosis With Loss Of Appetite Suggest?

My brother is 65 with cirrhosis of the liver. His abdomen has been drained 3 times, he has very little appetite, still drinks, has lost weight and is too fatigued to even walk his dog. He lives in Ca. I live in Fla. Should I go now? Is this the end stage?

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.
Liver cirrhosis is an irreversible condition.
Some of the causes include chronic alcohol intake, hepatitis B and C infection.
You have mentioned fluid was drained from the abdomen thrice. This indicates his liver condition has reached end stage.
You can visit him now.
