What Does Loose Stool After Gallbladder Removal Suggest?

Hello...my dad had his gallbladder removed about three weeks ago then had stints put into two arteries in his heart....he ate a roast beef sandwich and dipped it into a grease or sauce that the restaurant serves with the sandwich....he also ate ice cream with strawberry topping....he then had a very loose stool in the evening...he has a pill that he takes daily for loose stool....he took an extra pill....is that okay to take that pill everytime he has a loose stool? Should he not be dipping his sandwiches in that grease?

Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if the loose stool associated with fever abdomen pain vomiting then it could be infection else this is nothing to worry and three to four loose motion may be normal but hydration is matter of concern, he needs to cut down the calorie in diet, if symptoms does not comes around then stool needs to be tested, hope this information helps, take care.
