What Does Loosening Of Intestines From Chest Cavity Mean?

I was in an auto accident and was hit from the rear at a high rate of speed. I have been to the er and a ct scan with contrast was performed. They said that it seemed that the intestines have been pull loose from the chest cavity. Can you tell me the term gor that.

It is possible that they are refering to the support of intestines or omental or mesentery related injury causing internal trauma and anatomical disturbances which may need abdominal surgery for internal repair after consulting a general surgeon.
