What Does Low HCG Level In Pregnancy Indicate?

hi, i am 36 years old, and am 5 weeks pregnant, my hcg levels were low, only 25 at 4 weeks, 50, 2 days later and 110 2 days after that. is is possible for the pregnancy to be viable? I have a 3 year old after an iui, and a miscarriage 2 years after. This pregnancy was after an iui. I am worried that there will be another problem again

Hallow madam,

I have understood your situation.

Low hCG level should not be taken lightly. The fact that it is increasing progressively suggests that the baby is viable. However the low hCG levels indicate that the pregnancy could be somewhere outside the uterine cavity, most commonly in the tube. In such cases, when the tube eventually ruptures, it causes an alarming intrauterine bleeding requiring immediate intervention.

So please report to your Obstetrician and get investigated for ? ectopic pregnancy, ? normal pregnancy.
