What Does Low Lying Placenta In Pregnancy Indicate?
My sister is 25, LMP was 10th oct 2010, early preg,thats wat dr said at begining.2month placenta was low lying, now she is 9 mnth preg, doppler scan says 36-38 weeks, anterior placenta grade 3,above uterine segment.Is it serious? What does it mean? Can she have normal or C section?When can we expect delivery date?

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. The low lying placenta in early pregnancy usually migrates upwards as the pregnancy advances. The ultrasound at 37 weeks in case of your sister shows the the same, the placenta is shifted upwards. This is completely normal. She can have a vaginal delivery.
Her expected date of delivery is 17 th July 2011.
