What Does Low Platelet Count Indicate?

My son is 22 yr old and have platelet count of 118000 on repeated investigation. He is lethargic and fatigued, He is on altroxin for 4yrs and TSH is o.k. now. His WBC is 5900. Low platelet is indicative of some disease? He is not taking any medicine or herbal etc.

A normal platelet count ranges from 150,000 to 450,000 platelets per microliter Your son needs to do CBC test and if in that test giant platelets are found then he did not need to worry.
