What Does Many Pus Cells In Infant's Stool Test Indicate?

my baby(age -7 weeks) has done nealy about 8-10 times faeces per day.the colour appreaed to be green.so I have done Faeces Full Report and it mentioned PUS cells 10-12 /hpf.Is this value harmfull, What is the maximum allowed and what are these pus cells and how it create Pl advise me for future actions immediately Herath

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

Your baby is suffering from colitis (intestine infection).It may be due to virus or bacteria.
Colitis is indicated by presence of pus cells in stool.There shouldn't be any pus cells in stool.
Culture of stool should also be done. Antibiotics should be prescribed to your baby.
Baby should be given adequate fluids.
