What Does Mcv Level Of 1 In Blood Test Report Indicate?

my blood test showed my mcv was 1. what does this mean very healthy, 74 years old....have had diarreha off and on for past 2 months....cannot make it to bathroom....hoarse in the morning sometime and sometime hoarse at night 5'2 180 lbs
i always considered myself a social drinker, but have had a glass of wine several nights a week. am i an alcoholic?

MCV is the mean corpuscular volume,and is a measure of the average volume of a red blood cell.
In pernicious anemia,vitamin B12 deficient , MCV can range up to 150 femtolitres. An elevated MCV is also associated with alcoholism and myelofibrosis.
In microcytic anemia it can be as low as 60 to 70 femtolitres.The most common causes of are iron deficiency and thalassemia.
MCV of 1 seems to be an error it must be 100 .Hope this helps!
